Multiple Sclerosis Support Group:

The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Support Group will meet Saturday, November 3rd from 11 a.m. - Noon, located in the Harlan Yates Board Room located in the FMH Medical Arts Complex. The MS Support Group meets the first Saturday of each month. For more information regarding this support group please call 618-847-8243.

3D Mammography Mobile Event in Albion and Cisne:

Fairfield Memorial Hospital will have their 3-D Mobile Mammography at Edwards County High School, 361 Main St.  Albion, IL on November 3rd and Horizon Healthcare Cisne Clinic, 413 Park St.  Cisne, IL on November 17th with appointments beginning at 8:00a.m. No physician order needed for those who are over the age of 40.  It must have been at least one year since your last Mammogram.  Patients are asked to bring their insurance card, photo ID, and doctor’s contact information.  This event is for annual screening Mammograms only. Individuals can call the FMH Diagnostic Imaging Department at 618-847-8249 to secure an appointment with one of FMH’s skilled technologists. Walk-Ins are also welcome. Each person who attends one of these special events will receive a gift.

First Aid/CPR Class:

Fairfield Memorial Hospital is offering First Aid/CPR Certification to the public free of charge. The class will be held on Tuesday, November 6th at 9:30am to 1:30pm in the FMH Education Annex Building (former Union Hall) located on 10th Street. For more information or to pre-register call (618) 847-8243. Pre-registration is required.

CPR Classes:

Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s free monthly CPR Class will be held on Wednesday, November 7th at 9:30am. Pre-registration is required. To register, please call (618)847-8243.

Fairfield Memorial Hospital to host ACLS for (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Training:

Fairfield Memorial Hospital will hold the next Advanced Cardiac Life Support class on November 7th at 9 a.m.   The cost is $30 for the ACLS course.  Should a CPR card be needed, there will be an additional $10 charge. These classes will be held in the Medical Arts Complex Education Room. If you would like to learn more or register for the course, please contact Deb Spillman, CMSRN, FMH Clinical Practice Coordinator, at 618-847-8241. Future class dates for Pediatric Advanced Life Support classes is December 5th.  Please register one week prior to class, if possible.

Cancer Care Support Group:

The Fairfield Memorial Hospital Cancer Support Group meeting once a month on the second Thursday of the each month from 6-7 p.m. in the Medical Arts Complex Education Room with the next meeting being held, Thursday, November 8th. Coffee Club:

Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s Senior Life Solutions will hold the next Coffee Club from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on November 8th. The Coffee Club will meet at the Fairfield Elks Lodge and is open to older adults. You do not have to be a participant in the Senior Life Solutions program to attend. Free blood pressure checks and refreshments will also be offered at the Coffee Club. We look forward to seeing you there!

Veterans Complimentary Meals November 9th:

Each year, Fairfield Memorial Hospital recognizes and appreciates all veterans who have fought for our freedom.  Therefore, in honor of their service, Fairfield Memorial Hospital wishes to offer a day full of complimentary meals for any veteran who would like to join us for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner on November 9th!


Breakfast: 6:00am-8:30am

Bacon, Sausage, Scrambled Eggs, Biscuits and Gravy

Lunch: 10:00a.m. – 1:30pm

Chicken and Dumplings, Roast beef, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Green Beans, Corn, Hot Roll, Cupcakes, Brownies

Dinner: 4:00pm-7:30pm

Meatloaf, Lasagna, Cheesy Potato, Sicilian Veggie Blend, Bosco Sticks, Cupcakes, Brownies

Diabetes Support Group:

Join FMH on Thursday, November 15th for the Diabetes Support Group Meeting. Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s certified Diabetes Educator, Stephen Welty, RN, CDE, will lead a discussion on maintain Healthy Habits through the Holidays. The meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. in the FMH Medical Arts Complex Education Room.

Blood Drive to be held on November 21st:

Fairfield Memorial Hospital will be hosting a blood drive for the public on November 21st.  Give the gift of life!
