FMH PRESENTS MAY EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
Each month, Fairfield Memorial Hospital honors an employee who has exemplified exceptional patient care and customer service internally and externally.
In May, Tara Munoz, Central Sterile Technologist, was named Employee of the Month for her tremendous work ethic. According to her peers, she is a very hard worker, dependable, and flexible. In addition, she is always supportive and willing to teach students who rotate through the surgical department. Recently, the surgical department needed volunteers to cover additional on call hours, Tara volunteered without hesitation.
“Tara’s willingness to step up and doing so with a positive attitude makes her a wonderful asset to our department. Her previous work experience and certification has strengthen the surgery department as she often serves as a great mentor and teacher to her fellow staff members and students. Along with being a wife, business owner, and mother of two children, Tara’s dedication to her work and family shows in her everyday performance. In addition to juggling all of her personal responsibilities, she also willingly opens her home to her fellow staff members who live out of town, during bad weather conditions, sleep deprivations, and even babysitting services. Tara is simply an all around wonderful person and team player, who we are fortunate to have on staff,” stated Kathleen Heltsley, RN, BSN, Surgical Services Nurse Leader.
