FMH Taking Mobile Digital Mammography Truck to Albion Saturday, June 2
Fairfield Memorial Hospital will be taking their Digital Mammography Truck to Albion for a Mobile Mammo Event on Saturday, June 2 from 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s Digital Mammography Truck will be set up on the First Baptist Church Parking Lot at 112 S. 4th Street in Albion. To schedule a Digital Mammogram for this Mobile Mammo Event on June 2, call the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Diagnostic Imaging Department at 618-847-8249; however, walk-ins appointments are welcome!
Screening mammograms only take about 15 minutes to perform. Patients who do not have any detectable problems or tissue changes at this time only need the following information when they come to register: name, birth date, insurance card, and the name of the doctor who they wish the report be sent. Patients who are under the age of 40 will need a physician order. In addition, those who have had a mammogram within less than one year or are having problems or tissue changes should secure a physician order.
Free Mammograms Available
Those without insurance or those with a very high deductable may apply for a FREE mammogram. FMH was awarded 40 free digital mammograms through the Susan G. Komen Evansville Tri-State’s Pink Ribbon Grant.
