POSITION TITLE: Nutritional Services Aide

NATURE OF WORK:
Prepares adequate and nutritious snacks and nourishment for patients, residents and guests. Maintains proper temperatures within the sanitation standards. Performs variety of kitchen duties, including set-up, serving, and cleaning within the strictest sanitation standards of equipment, floors, and dishes. Follows standard policies.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred Level: High School Diploma or GED. Any equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous Food Service experience desirable.
SKILLS:
- Must have general knowledge of computer use for e-mail and testing.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must be able to hear and distinguish normal sounds with background noise, ranging from conversational levels to high – pitched sounding alarms.
- Must be able to detect the smell of smoke, spoiled food, etc.
- Must follow directions and complete assignments.
- Must be able to operate all types of food service equipment.
Additional Skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must have excellent attendance and work record required.
