 SALARY RANGE:               $55,000 - $82,000

NATURE OF WORK:

The FMH Clinic Manager directs, supervises, and evaluates practitioners, nursing and other support staff members for all outpatient specialty clinics of Fairfield Memorial Hospital including but not limited to General Surgery Clinic, Pain Clinic, Orthopedic Surgery Clinic, and FMH Urgent Care. Responsible for selecting, training, orienting, and assigning responsibilities for nurses and patient access specialists within the specialty outpatient clinics. Prepares and distributes business and nursing staff schedules to maintain staffing within budget. Engages in continuous education on electronic health record software and participates in leading staff as updates and changes occur. Maintains open communication with all medical staff members, Director of Physician Practice, Administration and other department managers. Works with Director on medical equipment and other budget decisions relevant to patient care in the clinic. Conducts regular nurse and patient access specialist staff meetings. Develops, implements, and reviews annually policy and procedures. Leads clerical, nursing, and medical staff in quality initiative efforts for IPT and Joint Commission. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma. Associate Degree or higher preferred. Medical certificate or licensure preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Electronic medical record charting, healthcare business office functions, cash collections and registration, and direct patient care preferred.

 SKILLS:

Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office. Excellent customer

service, organization skills, an understanding of care in the clinic setting, and ability to work effectively in stressful situations.
