FAIRFIELD, IL - The Fairfield Memorial Hospital Board of Directors and Deaconess are pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Cooper as the new Chief Executive Officer of Fairfield Memorial Hospital, effective July 15.

Cooper brings over 30 years of healthcare experience to the role, including more than 20 years as a chief executive. He has been serving as CEO of Rush County Memorial Hospital in LaCrosse, Kansas, since 2019. Prior to that, he held CEO positions at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford, Indiana and St. Benedict's Family Medical Center in Jerome, Idaho.

"I am honored and excited to join the Fairfield Memorial Hospital team," Cooper said. "Throughout my career, I've been passionate about enhancing patient care, staff development and community engagement. I look forward to coming back to the area and working with the dedicated professionals at Fairfield Memorial to continue providing exceptional healthcare services to our community."

Cooper holds a BS in Business Management from Indiana University Southeast and an MA in Health Services Management from Webster University. His extensive community involvement includes service with the Kansas Hospital Association, Indiana Rural Health Association's Board of Directors, and as past president of both the Bedford Area and Jerome Area Chambers of Commerce.
