FMH EXPANSION PROGRESS
Fairfield Memorial Hospital weekly updates are used to keep the public informed as progress continues to be made on our Expansion Project. As the weather brings some snow and ice to our area we aren’t seeing as much work on the outside, however, the work continues inside the expansion!
During the week of February 8th, the contractors are on the 3rd floor inside of the building are busy installing in-wall mechanical, plumbing, and electrical. They are also installing wood blocking for support of cabinets, accessories and other wall hung items and framing patient room headwalls. This creates a lot of excitement for our Skilled Care Unit team as they see the progress of their new unit! On the 2nd floor, the work underway consists of metal studs and drywall and in-wall mechanical and electrical work. Work on the first floor consists of the contractor installing door frames, metal stud framing of interior partitions, as well as, in-wall and above ceiling mechanical and electrical rough-in.
During the week of February 15th, and due to the extremely cold temperatures in the forecast we do not anticipate a lot of outdoor activity. Activities on the 3rd floor should include more framing and drywall, as well as, in-wall mechanical and electrical work. Work on the second floor will include above ceiling rough-in and beginning work in mechanical and electrical rooms. On the first floor we expect to be installing door frames and metal stud framing of walls.
Fairfield Memorial Hospital appreciates all of the support and interest that has been received from our community for this project and hopes that everyone is staying warm and safe during the inclement weather we are experiencing in our region.
