Fairfield Memorial Hospital takes pride in providing the best possible care for our patients and our residents that reside in our Skilled Care Unit. As a precautionary measure only and at the recommendations of the CDC and other regulatory agencies, we are limiting visitors to our Skilled Care Unit to only those who are absolutely essential to meeting a resident’s need.

We will be setting up ways for our residents to stay in contact with their loved ones through the use of FaceTime, Skype, and so forth. Arrangements are being made to assist resident’s families and loved ones that do not have access to this type of communication or need assistance with setting this up. We realize the impact that this can have on the emotional needs of our residents and we will make every effort to keep their spirits up as we work diligently to ensure they are receiving the best possible care. Our staff will be contacting each family to develop a plan of communication during this time of enhanced precautions.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this time. Again, we would like to reiterate that this is just a precautionary measure and that we have had no suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our area.
