FRANCIS GUERRA-BAUMAN, M.D, Family Medicine Physician, to join the staff of Fairfield Memorial Hospital Horizon Healthcare
Fairfield Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that Francis Guerra-Bauman, M.D., Family Medicine Physician, has joined the Medical Staff of Fairfield Memorial Hospital Horizon Healthcare on a full-time basis.
Dr. Guerra-Bauman was born and raised in Panama and attended medical school at Universidad de Panama, where she graduated with honors. She completed an Internal Medicine training and a Hematology fellowship with additional educational experience at University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Mayo Clinic, and practiced as an attending physician for several years in Panama before meeting her husband and relocating to the U.S.
Dr. Guerra-Bauman is a board-certified family medicine physician that completed her residency at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital in Pennsylvania. During her residency, she served as the Chief Resident and was appointed by the National Hispanic Medical Association as co-chair of the Family Medicine Council. She also received the “Compassionate Physician Award” to recognize her extraordinary compassion toward patients and their families and is the recipient of the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors award “Family Medicine Resident Award for Advocacy”.

Dr. Guerra-Bauman is fluent in both English and Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, watching soccer games, running, traveling, and going for walks with her dog.
