DEPARTMENT:                  Skilled Care Unit

STATUS:                              Non-Exempt, Full Time

HOURS:                              Nights , 6:30pm – 6:30am

SALARY RANGE:               $29.00 - $65.50

NATURE OF WORK:

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of residents within the skilled nursing setting. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the residents between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by CNAs, LPNs, and supportive staff members. Participates in resident and family teaching. Maintains role as resident advocate with a focus on the facility’s mission.

 EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates Degree Required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred
• Current Registered Nursing License in Illinois required.
• Current BLS certification

EXPERIENCE:

Preferred current experience (within past 2 years). New graduates considered.

SKILLS:

Strong customer relations experience required. Team player willing to assist in meeting organizational goals. Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented approach to others.  High level of professionalism and confidentiality, in compliance with HIPAA standards.  Exemplary critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills required; ability to work independently as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
