    The laboratory is a The Joint Commission accredited, CLIA-certified, and high complex facility offering a wide range of services.

    The laboratory utilizes state-of-the-art analyzers and automated equipment, kept at optimal operating efficiencies through an extensive quality-control program. Staffed by professional, licensed technicians, technologists, and phlebotomists; the laboratory provides an excellent level of diagnostic care for its clients, physicians, and the community.

    Special Lab Testing Rates
    Each year, Fairfield Memorial Hospital offers Reduced Cost Lab Testing in early January and again in July. The following lab test rates are offered during this special.
    • Hemoglobin A1c (Diabetic Monitor). $20
    • Lipid Panel (Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL, LDL, and VLDL) $20
    • PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen). $20
    • Thyroid Function Panel (T4, T3 Uptake, Free T3, Free T4, TSH). $40
    • General Health Profile (Includes CBC, Lipid Screen, and a 12 test chemistry profile) $40
    • Vitamin D Test $40
    Testing can be done from 6 – 10:30 AM at the hospital lab, 6:30 – 9 AM at the Edwards County Health Department in Albion, and 8:30 – 10 AM in the FMH Medical Arts Complex. If you are interested, go directly to the laboratory office at Fairfield Memorial Hospital, Horizon Healthcare Clinics or the Edwards County Health Department in Albion. You should not have food or drink after midnight. Payment is due at the time of service. Results of the test will be mailed directly to your home.
