Fairfield Memorial Hospital is ready for your emergency needs, having board-certified physicians in-house 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We also have specialty physicians on call including general surgeons and radiologists and access to Pediatricians through our call centers.

Fairfield Memorial Hospital is a designated EMSC Standby Emergency Department for Pediatrics, a Stroke Ready Hospital, a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Transfer Hospital and has been recognized as Patient Safety Champions by the Midwest Alliance for Patient Safety. We are passionate about providing the best care for our community as efficiently and effectively as possible.
 
All RNs and ERT-As have successfully completed the following:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Other nursing staff credentials include:

• Trauma Nurse Core Course
• Certified Emergency Nurse
• Trauma Nurse Specialist

Our nursing staff also includes instructors in:

• Basic Life Support
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Did you know?
Many of the nurses also have experience in many other departments including obstetrics, surgery and many more. The ER staff members are mandated reporters for suspected abuse cases. Social Service staff is available to the Emergency Department when needed. FMH is also the training center for area ambulance services. Fairfield Memorial Hospital’s ER Nurses have a cumulative of over 129 years of experience.
